New Black Bush Bottle

Let's talk whiskey.

What do people think of the new bottle shape for Black / White Bush. I have to say I don't like it at all - far to fussy.

The whiskey's still great though.

Or as Zoltan would say - it's not as nice as the Tyrconnell 17.5 yr old bottle. ;)

It was perfect the way it was. Simple, efficient, unfussy... whiskey for whiskey drinkers. Now the bottle has shoulder pads, looks like Joan Collins in Dynasty. I'm not a fan.

Exactly. That sums up how I feel about it and in a far more eloquent fashion than I.

may be that was the goal

after 140 years it is became 400 years old, so they had to catch up the age style on the bottle...

Dynasty!! Fair play, I was thinking for ages what it looked like and I knew it was something from my past. Anyone ever play Dynasty shots? You had to take a shot every time someone got slapped.

Must admit I like it, especially the side imprint ... the bottle design is a throw back to the old style imprinted bottles except instead of 1784 they now have some 1608 bull, for god knows what reason :?: :?: :?:

My big problem is that it now no longer matches all the other bottles on the bushmills shelf. That upsets me. Greatly. I've decided to keep a closed old bottle and hide the open new bottle behind it.

Hi all,

Yum! BLACK BUSH good! I don't know what bottle I have, it has the raised lettering & 1608 on the side.
I did notice something wrong with my bottle of BLACK BUSH...it's nearly 3/4's empty! Arrrrrrrrr!

Hi IWC,

Thanks for the photos. Very cool! Man, I've been drinking TOO much BLACK BUSH tonight!
Black Bush goood! Oooh man, this afternoon, I was in the process of trying to sell some of my vintage
"Higher End" Audio gear when my beautiful SAE Amp "took a dump" right before I closed the deal.
Arrrrrrrr, UNfricken believable! I am soooo Bummed out! I lost a $500.00 sale. So, me thinks I'll have another BB.

Regards,
SixCats!
