Celtic Whiskey Shop distillery trip

Let's talk whiskey.

Celtic Whiskey Shop distillery trip

The Celtic Whiskey Shop is hinting (on Twitter) that there will be a distillery trip around the 16th to 18th June. That's all so far.

Their Cooley trip last year was great so this is good news.

I have heard such hints, including the BIG hint that it is a difficult one to arrange. Make of that as you will.

It may be a blindfolded trip!

I think I know what you are hinting at IainB and I fear I'll not be available for it going by the dates :(

Fear not IWC, we'll recreate the trip for you at some stage by leading you blindfold around a warehouse while playing the cd "Now that's what I call distillery sounds" Vol 73, and waving whiskeys under your nose to recreate the smell. We will also throw barley at you. Then we will hypnotise you to make you forget the whole thing. In fact we already have. It was last week. Don't you remember?

It's not one that would require flying through volcanic ash, or sailing through choppy seas. Could be a good one.

There might be a CWS Islay tasting coming up too, or so I heard.

Well, "tasting" was how it was phrased to me but I guess you could take that to mean "trip" too. On balance, that does sound more likely.

Lets just call it a tasting that may involve a trip ;)

I think the Islay would be a tasting, rather than a trip.

Perhaps, but there has been mention of an Islay trip later in the year.

Details are up now.

Bit of a mad dash around the country but I don't doubt it will be good fun. Don't think I have the readies for it though. Hungary is going to clean me out :)

That is a big outing and no mistake, but I prefer a more leisurely pace :D . There is a lot packed into that tour.
