Looks very interesting. I don't know what it is - but it's
interesting it's called "whisky". There's a place in
Northern Ireland called Pomeroy. Was there a distillery in
Tyrone?
Never heard of it either but that would not be unusual
especially if Pomeroy was a surname and they were an independent
bottler. Like the idea of a Pomeroy distillery though however no
idea if we could find out
Hello again from Germany, thank you very much for your
interest. The capacity of the bottle is 750 ccm (ml). The
high of the bottle is 26 cm and the diameter from the bottom is
8,5 cm. I add another picture from the bottom:
If the
capacity is 750ml it means it can be no earlier than when the
USA set 750ml as the offical size for imported and domestic
spirits. 700ml was set as the official European size around the
same time. So it must be from the early 70s or so surely?
Hello Friends, there was a owner of the Strathisla distillery in
Scotland arround 1949, called 'George Jay Pomeroy'. Had he
something to do with this bottle?
