Whiskey of the Month

Let's talk whiskey.

Whiskey of the Month

Postby DavidH » Sat Apr 04, 2009 5:52 pm

It's a new month so it must be a new whiskey. Does anyone know what the Whiskey of the Month is for April?

Also, any update on the bars and shops participating?

Afaik the next whiskey of the month is going to be the Greenore Irish Grain Whiskey. This grain whiskey is soft, honeyed, sweet and luscious and has a lovely mouth feel. Cooley grain whiskey has a reputation of being one of the best available.

Greenore was March's Whiskey of the Month.

I agree though, lovely whiskey and great value.

Sorry David i forgot to send you the info on this.

We are not opperating it on Calander month basis, its more like 6 weeks. This due to the fact that it takes me a week or so to run around Dublin changing over from one to the other and also getting more bars involved.
The Lockes promo last until just before Paddys day.
So far both have been very sucsessful, im not sure when the next one will start but but end of April is looking about right. The next whiskey begins with the letter "T".

Got it ;)

Glad to hear it's going well. Put a bit of publicity behind it and it would be huge. The media should be all over €3.75 for a whiskey "in these straitened times".

I hope, at the end, you'll give the Locke's 8yo another run. I reckon it could take off if enough people get to try it.

I think Harvest Off-Licence do, however when they joined the promo for Lockes 8yo they put the price up! So I went down the road to Supervalu and got it for E33. I agree with David, I think its lovely stuff.

Does it end with "yrconnel" or "ullamore Dew"?
It's better to have drunk it all, than never to have drunk at all.

It's a Cooley promotion so that should narrow it down for you ;)
