Let's talk whiskey.

Hi Matt,
I can now confirm that the entire supply currently held at TIWC is 2012 stock and not 2013.
Best regards,
John.

The Irish Fiddler 35 euros really liked it but only got two glasses as was empty when I was going for my third,
Innismore Whiskey Liqueur 35 euro different to anything I tasted, sloe berries taste was nice.

The fiddler is a nice whiskey but @ 35 euros its not good value.

Their is also a bottle of woodcock Irish whiskey might try it next weekend, told him to order a few bottles of dingle whiskey if he can.

Hi DG, u got a good deal on the Dunville's VR. An again and the level fairly low but probably one worth opening. Hope lily the low level has not affected it too much.

Just home from hollies myself.

Tullamore Phoenix 55% (x2)
Teeling 11yo "The Gathering"

Hi Luke, to be honest I'm not sure when I'll open. No plans open it but have not bought it to collect.

Last week I was able to pick up my 'birthday bottle' for this year, Laphroaig Cairdeas Origin (2012), before it sold out at the LCBO. I could have purchased the Eagle Rare 10 / Knob Creek Single Barrel combo, but I'm a little 'bourboned out' on my purchases.

Does anybody know if Jameson 18 will be coming back to Canada (Ontario in particular)? The bottle still shows on the LCBO website, but there hasn't been any inventory showing in over a year.
The wishlist is always growing...

Balckbush * 2 @ €22 each in Tesco

A decent quality whiskey at a decent price when your regular Jameson was €27!

Until 22nd October 2013!! And yes had a good drop last night and what a whiskey at this price!!

I imagine Jameson is expensive so as to be able do a 25% off or something for christmas run up!

Every shop i go to i now seem to fins myself memorising prices of the bottles and am amazed the differences week to week and shop to shop! Especially how one shop has some over priced and others under!

Yeah, that was my port of call. They did indeed have it. Them and Laverys are the only two places worth visiting to buy whiskey in Belfast...which is a shame.

What is the Slaney connection to Limerick? I've heard of this before and was curious. Is it still on the market?

Probably None just a naming idea but I could be wrong.

They originally came out with 3 variants and all Cooley spirit.

The Shannon was a Single Grain. The Slaney was a single Malt in the Tryconnell style and the Suir was a peated single Malt in the Connemara style. There would have been at least a couple of releases of each.

I presume someone just thought they would stick with the letter S in the river names
