Jaysus, that is some haul over the last while ... your collection must be quite weighty at this stage.

I always like seeing the Japanese bottles, thanks. Somehow they manage to produce both the best and worst looking labels in the business.

I really wasn't with it this weekend. Friday night I ordered a Nikka Coffey Malt online. Saturday night I completely forgot this and ordered another one from a different website. Only noticed when I was deleting e-mails today. What's really annoying is the 2nd one was dearer.

Bredman, I have a couple of these in the post now too... And a Kawazaki 1982 - not a motorbike but a single grain.

Nice buy John. dramtastic reckons that Mars 28 is in his top ten Japanese he's ever tried. That Kawasaki 1982 (i posted a picture of it on page 23) is also rated as one of the finest grain whiskies there is.

I heard that bredman, about the quality. Looking forward to trying it at some stage. The Kawazaki seems to be very expensive in La Maison du Whisky too. I'm guessing you got it for the same price I did...

Ah eBay has got me impulse buying again.
I spotted a few Scotchs at lowish bids and nearly over. They all come from the same seller too so postage will be reasonable.

Aberlour 10 year old £13.77
Bunnahabhain 12 year old £22.51
Highland Park 12 year old £19.01
Macallan (Sherry)10 year old £22.00
Glenfiddich 12 year old £17.01

I also picked up 1ltr Bushmills 10 year old malt for £19.29.

I probably wont make any more tastings this year at this stage, unless a BYOB Scotch is on the books?

I was, in my Father Dougal from Father Ted voice. Interesting site - I'd like to know a little bit more about the whiskies - like maybe which one is the grain?

You could probably tell by the price. I'm not sure. I'd say the cheaper whiskies are either very young or grain.

I found one of these going cheap. It was a dusty wine shop and he was glad to get rid.
