Has anyone tasted the new Redbreast yet and if so what is it like in comparison to the standard 12YO.

I tried it. I was expecting a Sherry bomb but it's overwhelming at all. Very nice whiskey. I would say it gives the 12 a good run for its money. I could easily be converted.

How does it compare to the Mano a Lamh?

The Lustau has benefited from the few hears in bourbon casks before it was sherried, if that makes sense. I've kept a Mano a Lámh and will definitely be doing a side by side.

There could be a tasting or two in that.

Still upset I could never find Mano a Lamh in the US, nor during my trip to Ireland last year. This should definitely be available in the US next week so I will stock up. Love Redbreast and love the sherry influence so this should be a no brainer.

Wow, finally got one! Went to Binny's and it wasn't even on the shelf yet. Saw it stacked up. Can't wait to try it. Too bad I'm still working. $70 in Chicago.

Have to say I was very disappointed with it. But hayho, each to their own.
