Old whiskey advertisements

Postby rathbeggan » Wed Mar 18, 2015 10:40 pm

I have some ads for Bushmills from the early 70s and Redbreast from the early 80s which I have scanned and was going to post here, but apparently files with a .pdf suffix are not allowed. Could one of the admins assist or advise, please? Thanks.

Likewise as regards assistance in posting photos. Have attempted to do so in
the past but not succeeded. Perhaps a 'HOW TO' thread could be added as
photos greatly enhance the contents of what's posted !!

Usually you can get PDF to jpeg converts free online. However I find the easist option to convert any image to jpeg is to use windows snipping tool.

You can grab images from web pages also.

Thanks Adrian! I only had hard copies or pdfs of these, I have a few more which I will put up, though they're not as interesting as these.

They're great old adverts.
I really like the 2 Redbreasts, the difference in labels and colour of the whiskey.

The first Bushmills one is very curious too. I didn't think they were advertising the 1608 until the 80's.
I'm assuming the 1276 is a misprint too, or have they found relative of Strongbow holding a empty bottle of Bushmills and added a few more years to the history!
