Well done all.

On a related note World Best Single Malt was won by Sullivans Cove, Tasmanian whiskey. I bet there's a Irish connection somewhere.

While congratulations are in order to the various winners does anyone not think that prehaps there's a few too many categories .....

Best Pot Still 21 Years and older ....
Best Pot Still 13-20 Years ....

That's true but they are future proofing the awards. The Redbreast 15 has been the only one in the 13-20 category for a while.

I was surprised Powers John's lane didn't get a mention.

I forgot to congratulate Michael Foggarty on his Whiskey Ambassador of the year award. A great achievement.

Other award I forgot were, Whiskey Distiller of the year Irish Distillers Pernod Ricard
and Visiter Attraction was the Old Jameson distillery in Cork, I know, the Old Midleton Distillery.

Barry Crockett was inducted in The Hall of Fame.

The World Whisky Awards results are due out and as yet I only know Teelings have won the Best Irish Malt.

I'm assuming Redbreast 15 won Best Pot Still 13-20 &
Redbreast 21 won Best Pot 21 + but it's only a guess.


I'll try track the results later.

I see on facebook or Twitter that Redbreast 15 won Best Irish Pot Still but I can't get the rest of the results.
If anyone know more or has links please post.
