ISLAY NEWS - THE HARBOUR INN, BOWMORE

Let's talk whiskey.

ISLAY NEWS - THE HARBOUR INN, BOWMORE

Postby Luke Gough » Thu Jan 16, 2014 10:42 am

Those of us fortunate enough to visit Islay are all familiar with The Harbour Inn.

According to the following Press Release Morrison Bowmore have taken ownership: http://www.whiskyintelligence.com/2014/01/new-owners-at-the-harbour-inn-islay-scotch-whisky-news/

I have memories (pleasantly dulled) of the superb meal there on our last visit in October 2012. (Others have memories, probably less pleasant, of me singing there...)

If Morrison Bowmore can maintain the quality it'll remain the other "must-visit" restaurant - apart, of course, from the excellent Port Charlotte Hotel: http://www.portcharlottehotel.co.uk/

On a related note, with the purchase of Beam, and now this takeover, Suntory must be wading in cash at present.

Any thoughts/memories to share on this? ;)
