Where to sell rare whiskey

Hi,

I am wondering if there are any whiskey auctions in Dublin any time soon?

I am looking to sell 1 bottle of Midleton very rare 2000 Irish whiskey in original wooden box
and
1 bottle of Jameson special reserve, pure pot still, triple distilled aged 15 years in presentation boxes 700ml

Any idea how much these would normally sell for?

Hi and welcome.

You could check the Celtic Whiskey Shop. The Jameson's go for various prices. I know they had a Jameson like the one you discribed for €300 a while back. That's retail price so they may offer half that or more.

If you try the auction site you'll have to pay commission and there's a risk they won't get the price you hope for.

The Midleton's are in the same boat. I recommend looking at whiskyauction.com and check their results for both bottles. They have a limited edition Jameson on the current auction.

I considered using them a few years back but the costs of sending and commission meant it wasn't worth while.
