It probably has to be agreed with ... even though Irish is the highest growing market by percent it is from a small base and Scotch is possibly the dominant spirit in the world (even though vodka may out sell it by volume but I don't know the figures) and the last 10-15 years have seen an extraordinary change from high end premium to super uber premium sales.

It is certainly a massive success story under pinned by the Blend trade.
