I cant see a different in the strength, LMDW edition`s are: 1997 (59.5%) and 1999 (56%) so are the one on Juuls.

And yes, the price is really mad

Hi TWB,
Know i see what you mean, on the pictures of the SC that are up on LMDW Home page they have a different strength then in the subscription
But i still believe they are all the LMDW edition`s.

The only real problem with all these is that they're all pretty much Bourbon cask SPS which means they're mostly variations on a theme. I'm looking up at the 9 SC midletons I have and I'd be hard pressed to pick one over the other apart from the very first Celtic whiskey shop one which was a single cask blend! It stands out for that reason and of all of them it's the one I wish I'd bought more of. Which is not in any way to knock true others- they're all great whiskey just kinda similar!

Couldn't agree more. I haven't had so many, but I wish they'd offer a different sort of cask like sherry.

Exactly! I've had samples of others alright, sherry, port, and Madeira, either at tastings or courtesy of a certain galway/kerryman and I have to say I'd love to get hold of a few bottles of Madeira cask sps!

I`ve heard from a number of sources madeira is just the ticket. Should we start a petition?

Seriously I think a bit of friendly pressure and requests might be worth trying. Wonder if we can convince them?

IDL reads this forum so your comments are already being noted, I'm sure. I'm hoping for a finished whiskey, myself, rather than a huge blast of sherry or whatever.

I don't want an OTT wine influence, but a nice dose would be great. Something young might be fun too. How about an eight year old fresh sherry butt loaded with heavy pot still?

Was there another tread with these too?

Anyway I seen this photo of our esteemed leader with yet another single cask bottle.

Here's the article if anyone's interested.

It's not on sale, just for staff, as far as I know. I was lucky enough to get one.

The Celtic Whiskey Shop will have a few more single cask Midletons very shortly, I believe.

All the Midleton single casks are around 200 bottles, and retail around €250 (with some exceptions) not sure where your friend is getting his €1200 valuation...

I'd totally agree. These were never sold and given to reps and others at the event for free. €200/300 would be a good price I think.

I'd say there's more of a premium for this one, compared to the other single casks, given it was never for sale. The Jameson One In a MIllion went for silly money, but the packaging was much better.

I paid €350 for one of these Midletons, which I think is a good price. If I were you, I'd approach somewhere like the Celtic Whiskey Shop. Unless someone here is interested.

I forgot about the Jameson One in A Million. It was another not for sale bottle, given to certain IDL employees for free. There may be a few thousand of them.

I guess this add value. I managed to get them at the time but will go to my grave with them. I don't work for them but have been fortunate to get these ones.

I am wondering what Age Whiskey`s are used in the Midleton Limited Edition Virgin Oak Blend (CWS)?
Can not find any detailed Information, not even on CWS website.

They are 12 years old to the best of my knowledge. I thought there was a thread about it here but can't find anything.

I wish it was that here. Regular Midleton is more than that.
