Jameson 1780 with Crest on Bottle

Hi all,
I have a bottle of Jameson 1780 special reserve 12, 700ml with a with a crest on the upper part of the bottle, I can not find any information on google with regards the crest. Can anyone share some info,

Sine Metu means without fear,( but I would think they didn't mean that the whiskey makes you fearless)
It's a Scottish name so I assume the crest is too.
Have you went to the Jameson web page or singlepotstill.com They have some nice videos and snippets of history.

I presume you have the one as linked by g-w-h.

From the 80's & 90's so still are quite common and widely available still on places like Ebay.

On the Motto see HERE and click on the Sine Mitu.
