Interesting ... I know they have slightly modified the styling about twice but a Rebrand sounds like a complete over haul. Keep us posted.

I put a question to Cooley through Twitter

Any chance of a hint as to the new Connemara rebranding. Is a change in name, bottle or label or a total revam?

and got a Reply so fair play.

"New Connemara packaging will truly reflect the quality of the liquid - contemporary-traditional best description"

Leaves a lot of room for imagination  but sounds like a complete new look to me.

Edit : Ear marked for September '09

I only seen it as a pdf on Allys laptop and dont have the copy myself.

Same bottle shape but not "a label" more like the enamelled Kilbeggan 15

Is it a clear bottle so????

In all fairness the green bottle for that shape is not the most appealing eventhough the shape is fine.

We'll just wait in anticipation

While up at Cooley yesterday, we tried pumping them for more info about this but they are not saying much before the big launch. SImilar, but not identical, bottle shape. The "small batch programme" mentioned on Twitter applies only to Connemara and includes the sherry finishes. It might include a high ppm version in the future.

The great news is that we seem to have lined up a "vertical tasting" of Connemara with Noel Sweeney to coincide with the relaunch in the Autumn. Noel will introduce us to the various aged component malts he uses and how they are combined to create Connemara.

Connemara is my bars signature Malt in the north of Spain. So i relish the thought of any new expressions or rebranding..i even have the Irish/Scots Vatting called Celtic Nations with both Cooleys and Bruchladdich base malts..
all the best,
