True and they have been great exponents of Single Malt whisky but even so they have dabbled in the other stuff. However I find their attitude towards any else slightly elitist... Some views are just not balanced or objective enough in my mind.

I would agree, but some of them are very fair. Keith, Lawrence Graham, Ralphy and others. And the tasting for the awards is done blind.
Even Serge Valetin rated the new pot stills quite high, and he thinks the Irish are dedicated street drinkers.
