Whiskey auctions are they worth it?

Let's talk whiskey.

Whiskey auctions are they worth it?

Postby Ari » Sun Aug 07, 2011 3:21 pm

I was wondering if there are any good auction sites out there for whiskey and what I should watch out for
as far fairness?

I use http://glenfarclas.com
Postage I think is a bit stiff at 21euro, but have had no problems with them.

Have used whiskeyauction before very professional, not a big Irish selection, most of the time Irish bottles sell at above market value, but you can pick up a bargain in the Scottish sections .

I've used whiskyauction.com many many times and have never had a problem. Can be a bit expensive. There's also www.scotchwhiskyauctions.com - a newer one. You're more likely to pick up a bargain there, I'd say. Small selection, though, and very few Irish - usually none.
