Are there any Whiskies distilled around Newcastle West, Co.?

I am looking for a whiskey from this area to add to a pairing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Hi, the nearest distillery to Newcastle West is Midleton in Cork. They make Midleton, Jameson, Powers, Paddy, Tullamore... There used to be a distillery in Limerick, but it closed about 100 years ago.

Thank you very much. That is a huge help. I am a big fan of Middleton and need to learn more about them. I hope to visit in the next 18 months. My next pairing will be a Whiskey from the Tipperary area. I will post all findings here as they happen. Any new ideas for the Tipp pairing would be greatly appreciated. Thank you again!
