I can really see this catching on ... Jameson 12yo, Bushmills 16yo or a Tyrconnell in a can anyone?

Perfect for smuggling into concerts ... Just apply a sticker of your favourite soft drink on it ;)

A resealable plastic naggin is better, and you can already get Irish whiskeys in them.

Whiskey + mixer in a can though, that would work.

Whisky in a can is common in Japan, there are quite a few.

Surely the Irish have already done one. Others have.

Not that I've noticed. Surprising when you consider all the vodka-based drinks there are.

In Ireland the big whiskey & mixer drink is JD and coke so no real market for an Irish mixed whiskey drink in a can I would imagine.

Come on IDL give us whiskey in a can ... I'd love that metalic after taste from it ;) :P

Jameson & ginger ale may be a good one, however i have never tried it, but some say it is good, and everyone else do it with coke, so that may be a success

jim beam and cola in acan is massive in austarlia along with bundaberg rum and cola

Diageo launched gordons and tonic, smirnoff and cranberry and captian morgans spiced and cola in a can in Ireland 2 years ago, i think they all got pulled up on the hard shoulder though, maybe they should have done a bushmills instead

O'Briens had the Jim beam and coke before. I tried it once and wasn't impressed, but having said that I'm not a big fan of bourbon

HI there,

I am not so addicted to whisky so far, but taste a couple of times. Well now it comes in can, now we can enjoy our celebration without any dividing a whisky bottle. Upcoming is a birthday of a friend, we can celebrate with cans of whisky... :o

Cheers :) :) :)

Is there any taste differences, or long-term chemical changes, from whiskey meeting metal? Aluminum or steel?

I know beer tastes different from glass to aluminum. Just curious. Would be so much more efficient to transport. 6-pack vs rolling glass bottle.

I don't usually mix. Would straight whiskey work in a can?
