Show off your collection

Let's talk whiskey.

I added a few bottles recently but have trouble finding suitable categories for different bottles. For example Magilligan has it's own category under Irish whiskey, Kilbeggan and Wild Geese are under Cooleys. Magilligan is Cooleys too I believe.

Anyway I added Hennessy Na-Geanna but put under Cooley's too.

I'm not sure what UD means but presume it stand for Unknown Distillery. There are quite a few whiskeys in there too. I need a fair bit of tidying by the look of things.
I recommend they use IrishWhiskeyChaser.webs.com as a good reference and pay for the privilege

I've just done a complete inventory, but don't feel like typing it all out. The short version is for Scotch I have examples of every malt distillery closed in '83 or after, usually more than one bottle/bottling. The exceptions are Glen Esk (never liked it much so when I drank the last one I guess I decided not to bother replacing it) and Inverleven (I'll fix that). There are also a number of very old Speysides and some nice Islay whiskies too.

There are just two bottle of bourbon one from Sitzer Weller, the other from Heaven Hill

I also have a few old brandies and rums.

The Irish portion is small, but I'm quite proud of it.

Avery's Supreme Irish Whiskey 14 y.o. 4/5 qt 86 US proof bottled for US market 1960 (Possibly a Jone's Road whiskey)
Club Liqueur Irish Whisky John McKibbin and Son Belfast 70 Proof no volume stated, but probably 26 2/3 ounce
Cork Distillery Co. 7y.o. Bottled by M. O'Sullivan Easky Aprox 26 2/3 ounce not volume or strength stated
Dunville's Three Crowns 70 proof 1930s
Dunville's VR 1931 or older green and red label
Dunville's VR 1940 brown label
Gilbey's Redbreast 12 y.o. late 70s
H.S. Persse Galway Whisky Nun's Island Distillery Probably the 7 y.o. aprox 26 2/3ounce no volume or strength stated
Power's Dublin Whiskey 1950s no volume or strength aprox 26 2/3 ounce
Redbreast 12 Cask Strength B1/11 57.7 70cl
Royal Shannon 10 y.o. Blend 4/5 qt 86 US proof circa 1962
Sullivan's 15y.o. Irish Whiskey 4/5 qt 80 US proof circa 1964
Willie Napier 44 y.o. Tullamore Distillery 1945 40% 750ml
2 x Yellow Spot

As you can see I focus on old and especially PPS Irish whiskies. I'll be fleshing it out some more I hope to add examples from Brunsa and Comber maybe some day an Allman's and a Mitchell's too. I also want to give it more depth especially where the Dublin distilleries are concerned.

I'm slowly putting pictures of the rare ones up here:

Kilbeggan ’Distillery Reserve Malt Whiskey’ 40% ABV Batch 2 Bottled 201109 [L12077 10/04/12]
When I visited the distillery Brian told me that Batch 2 was bottled in april 2012
rather than september 2011 (which the laser no. also indicates?) and the whiskey is therefor 5yo

A great selection. At it's all for drinking.

I didn't know that there were 4 Celtic Casks until I read it. I now see the Celtic Whiskey Shop has 6 Celtic Casks; Aon, Dó, Trí, Ceathair, Cúig & Sé.

It would make a great tasting.

A nice inventory there. It reminds me to get bottles of Bushmills distillery reserve and the 21.

What would be your favourites there. I noticed you have Black Bush and Crested 10 open. They are great go to whiskeys.
